UNDER THE BAR - SECTION 8

Interview and intro by Carolina Pasini | Photos by Jack Gruber

Dive into the heart of Naarm's alleyways with our latest Under The Bar feature, where we explore Section 8, a staple in Melbourne's night (and day) life. Born from a humble shipping container, Section 8 has grown into a proper inner-city institution, attracting a mix of emerging and established DJs and performers, and providing a home for Naarm's progressive dance music scene.

We caught up with Hamish, the wizard behind the venue, to spill the tea on what makes Section 8 the definitive alleyway experience
